Experience a trekking to a spiritualist pilgrimage site through untouched traditional villages in spectacular landscapes to reach the sacred lake Bhairav Kund is named after the destructive form of Lord Shiva and is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Shamans. Both Hindus and Buddhist devotees visit this high sacred mountain lake to pay homage and bath to wash away sins during every Bhadra (August) Full Moon.

The trekking starts from Jalbire. Five hour bus ride from Kathmandu to the Tibetan border. We travel through a combination of beautiful mountain scenery and the terraced fields and characteristic houses of rural villages from different ethnic groups.

Our trekking goes along an old trade route between Nepal and Tibet through numbers of unspoiled Buddhist villages, past chortens and Sherpa houses. The unusual climatic and geographical merge makes this area a naturalist's dream.
Along the thekking you will experience spectacular views of mountains in Tibet and the Jugal Himal section of the Himalayan Range, which includes the peaks of Dorje Lakpa (6966) and Madiya (6257M).This trekking can be done all year round and can be combined with a rafting tour.
